A separate development subsidiary, Menlo Equities Development Company, was formed in 2000 and is headed by Jane Vaughan. Menlo’s development expertise, capital markets capabilities, and scale make it one of the largest commercial real estate participants in Silicon Valley and Southern California today. To date, 15 separate development projects totaling approximately 3 million square feet have been completed. Virtually all development projects have been substantially preleased.
Menlo Equities will continue to seek development projects in its primary markets. While R&D and office development will be our focus, we also will pursue strategically located retail and residential opportunities.
