Kenneth D. Wong, Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wong's primary duties are to oversee finance, treasury and accounting functions of MENLO EQUITIES and its partner affiliates. Mr. Wong has arranged and directed affiliated MENLO EQUITIES debt financings exceeding $650 million, including acquisition, construction, bridge, mezzanine and permanent financings. He is responsible for the overall management of financial reporting, financial analysis, risk management policies and controls.
Mr. Wong is responsible for Menlo's asset management, evaluating new investments and coordinating the Menlo's information technology systems. Mr. Wong also serves as Human Resources director for MENLO EQUITIES.
Prior to joining MENLO EQUITIES, Mr. Wong was a manager in the San Francisco office of Coopers & Lybrand LLP, where he specialized in financing and tax consulting on real estate, partnerships, and real estate investments. Mr. Wong has extensive experience in financial consulting and in all areas of federal and state income tax compliance for entities that develop, own and manage real estate, including shopping centers, multi-family housing units, hotels and recreational facilities. Mr. Wong's clients included The Shorenstein Company, Bay Apartment Communities (now Avalon Bay), TriNet Corporate Realty Trust (now iStar Financial, Inc.) and The Macerich Company.
Mr. Wong is a certified public accountant in California. He received a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Wong's professional memberships include the California State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Mr. Wong also served as a director on the Board of IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ: IXYS) and on the Audit, Compensation and Governance and Nominating Committees.
