The Managing Principals, Henry D. Bullock, Founder and Chairman, and Rick Holmstrom, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman, have a proven track record of creating significant value through establishing real estate operating companies.

Prior to the founding of MENLO EQUITIES in 1994, Mr. Bullock was the Managing Partner responsible for capital markets, underwriting and liability management activities for the Shidler Group, a privately-held real estate operating company which owned approximately 20 million square feet of commercial real estate. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Bullock directed the underwriting and capital markets activities for the initial public offerings (“IPO”) of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust (“TRI”) and First Industrial Realty Trust (“FR”). TRI was subsequently acquired by Starwood Financial (“iStar”). Mr. Bullock began his real estate career in 1980 as an underwriter/lender in the wholesale Real Estate Industries Group at Wells Fargo Bank.

Mr. Holmstrom was also a Partner with the Shidler Group where he was responsible for various aspects of the company’s public and private capital markets. His management duties included information systems, property underwriting and legal coordination for the TRI and FR initial public offerings.
